Carlin Adrianopoli co-leads FTI Consulting’s Corporate Finance segment in the United States and serves as global leader of the segment’s Turnaround practice. With more than 25 years of experience, Mr. Adrianopoli advises corporations, boards of directors, equity sponsors and creditor constituencies on complex financial, operational and strategic matters. His expertise spans interim executive leadership, financial restructuring, operational transformation and performance improvement, and he specializes in helping organizations navigate periods of disruption, accelerate value creation and achieve sustainable outcomes.
Over the course of his career, Mr. Adrianopoli has led various high-profile and complex engagements across a broad range of industries, including industrials, consumer products, energy, retail and financial services. He is widely recognized for his ability to guide boards, executive teams, investors and other stakeholders through challenging situations, combining strategic insight with hands-on execution.
Among his recent notable roles, Mr. Adrianopoli served as financial advisor to Diebold Nixdorf, a global consumer products and retail player, leading the company through a comprehensive global restructuring involving coordinated bankruptcy proceedings in the United States, the Netherlands and Canada, culminating in a successful emergence and post-reorganization IPO. He also recently served as Chief Restructuring Officer (“CRO”) of Wolfspeed, Chief Transformation Officer (“CTO”) of a fitness firm and as co-CTO of a leading domestic beverage company.
Many engagements led by Mr. Adrianopoli have received industry recognition and awards, including his restructuring work for Frontier Communications, Peabody Energy, Southeastern Grocers and RadioShack. His individual accolades include a 40 Under 40 award from The M&A Advisor. The same leadership and dedication to creating lasting positive impact that have defined his career are evident in Mr. Adrianopoli’s commitment to service and strengthening the communities in which he serves. He is currently an Adjunct Professor at the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business, as well as a board member of Hope Chicago, a nonprofit economic mobility organization supporting Chicago families. Mr. Adrianopoli recently finished his six-year rotation as a board member of Make-A-Wish Illinois.

- Served as Executive Vice President of Strategic Planning for Frontier Communications during their 2021 $17.5 billion debt restructuring and successful IPO
- Served as CRO of Wolfspeed, combining speed, stakeholder alignment and financial transformation to reduce leverage, lower costs and secure the company’s future viability with a post-emergence IPO
- Served as CTO of a fitness firm and co-CTO of a domestic beverage company, stabilizing the businesses and driving operational improvements
- Served as financial advisor to Diebold Nixdorf, providing expert guidance during a successful restructuring of its operations through bankruptcy filings in the United States, Netherlands and Canada with a post-emergence IPO
- Served as the financial advisor to Peabody Energy during its successful emergence from bankruptcy and IPO
- Served as CFO of RadioShack, guiding the business through its restructuring process
