Chad Coben is a seasoned business leader and financial professional with more than 30 years of experience advising boards, management teams and capital partners on mergers and acquisitions, business transformations and financial and operational restructurings. Mr. Coben helps organizations navigate complex, high-stakes situations, bringing a direct, personally engaged leadership style to stabilize operations, enhance transparency and drive results.
Over his advisory career, Mr. Coben has been involved in more than 100 engagements, including company- and creditor-side advisory assignments, more than 25 M&A transactions and more than a dozen interim executive and board roles. He has extensive experience across sectors including telecom, media and technology (“TMT”), aerospace and defense, energy, technology-enabled businesses, healthcare, consumer and retail, and food and agriculture.
Mr. Coben is an experienced financial and operational turnaround advisor who leads business strategy assessments, liquidity stabilization, creditor negotiations and performance improvement initiatives for companies, boards and lenders navigating periods of stress. He also advises strategic and financial buyers and sellers on financial, commercial, operational, IT, cybersecurity and regulatory diligence, synergy identification, and integration. In addition, he helps management teams optimize people, processes and systems and strengthen financial reporting and operational discipline. Across these engagements, Mr. Coben works closely with financial sponsors, private credit and syndicated lenders, management teams and boards of directors to create, protect and realize value for stakeholders.
Mr. Coben joined FTI Consulting in 2008 following the acquisition of CXO, LLC, a boutique turnaround and advisory services firm. Earlier in his career, he spent more than six years in corporate development, leading the integration of a series of acquisitions across three industry consolidation platforms, and began his career as a corporate banker at Bank of America.
Mr. Coben serves on the Board of Directors of Constellis Holdings, a global risk management and security services provider to government, military and commercial clients. He chairs the Audit Committee and serves on the Classified Committee and the Compensation Committee, which he previously chaired.

- Served as the interim CFO of Blue Nile; Broadstripe; Pacific Crossing; and PacWest Telecom
- Served as financial advisor to companies and creditor constituencies across aerospace and defense, including mission-critical equipment manufacturers, autonomous and defense technologies, and government services organizations; telecom, media and technology, including wireline and wireless network infrastructure, subsea and terrestrial fiber systems, and data centers; consumer and retail, including specialty retail, e-commerce and direct-to-consumer brands, and family entertainment businesses; and food and agriculture, including dairy and perishables, foodservice distribution, and wine and spirits, among other sectors
