Dr. Dimitris Korres

Dr. Dimitris Korres is a machine learning expert with more than a decade of experience in advanced system automation, data warehousing and AI-driven innovation. Over the past five years, Dr. Korres has built cutting-edge large language model (“LLM”) and generative AI (“GenAI”) applications, leveraging his extensive experience in developing and deploying innovative solutions. Dimitris is well-versed in driving and delivering strategic technical leadership and solutions with measurable business value.

A data science and AI specialist with significant experience, Dr. Korres has developed and implemented enterprise solutions across multiple industries. For financial institutions and multinational corporations, such as U.S. publishers, he has created predictive modelling for debt retrieval operations and demand forecasting systems. In the media sector, Dr. Korres has developed customer value models and media budget allocation systems across multiple regions, contributing to a Campaign Media Award. He has designed and implemented data warehouse solutions integrating multiple data sources for clients in financial services and retail sectors.

Dr. Korres work also includes the design and deployment of enterprise-level GenAI solutions and other LLM applications, including cloud-based AI systems for social media monitoring and brand protection. He has applied natural language processing analyses in support of expert testimony for a brand diminution case.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Dr. Korres held key roles as Director of Machine Learning and Engineering at Hearts & Science (Omnicom Group) and Capgemini. In these positions, he successfully led teams and projects in financial services, media and e-commerce. His expertise has been instrumental in deploying machine learning solutions that have delivered tangible business results, such as recommendation engines, customer value optimization, debt recovery initiatives, geospatial analytics, media budget optimization and data warehousing.

Throughout his career, Dr. Korres has maintained strong academic ties, collaborating on projects with renowned institutions like the London School of Economics and the Harvard Institute of Global Health. These research endeavors have involved analyzing large datasets using natural language processing techniques to examine health system performance for a major private foundation. Dr. Korres holds a M.Sc. in Environmental Design & Engineering and a Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics, demonstrating his multidisciplinary expertise and passion for applying technical knowledge to drive real-world impact.
