Drew M. Sheehan

Drew Sheehan is a Senior Managing Director within the Data & Analytics practice and is based in Washington, D.C. For the past 15 years, Mr. Sheehan has led complex engagements focused on the collection and analysis of structured financial and operational data for fraud investigations, data governance, pricing compliance, due diligence, financial reporting and analysis including visual analytics, business process automation and accounting and financial systems data reconciliation.

Mr. Sheehan established and leads the Corporate Solutions team within the Data & Analytics practice, assisting clients facing issues involving considerable amounts of data and complicated IT landscapes. Mr. Sheehan leads tactically focused projects to improve data governance, data integrity, data utility and reporting. He also supports clients with data management and analysis solutions for environmental, social and governance (“ESG”) reporting and disclosures. He empowers clients to own the data and analytics by building sustainable, repeatable, automated and scalable processes and successfully transitioning ownership to clients. Furthermore, Mr. Sheehan has significant experience reviewing and analyzing significant amounts of documents and electronic data to extract key information. He has guided clients and counsel on case settlement and litigation strategy based on the findings of his team and the opposition.

Mr. Sheehan analyzed financial transaction data in relation to a government investigation of fraudulent activity totaling billions of dollars related to certificates of deposit. He supported attorneys in response to requests by multiple government agencies, including the SEC, DOJ and IRS. He reviewed financial account information in multiple client databases and developed processes to efficiently analyze customer accounts. Mr. Sheehan executed the release of customer accounts based on protocol established during discussions with attorneys, the court-appointed receiver and other key stakeholders.

Mr. Sheehan supported an insurance and retirement services company by performing a detailed validation of programming code to ensure the company accurately fixed a logic error impacting customer accounts. He also developed an independent calculation to ensure that the company’s program accurately calculated remediation amounts for customers.

Mr. Sheehan led a large team of colleagues, clients and third-party contractors to perform data reconciliation for a systems implementation for a global hospitality company. He developed an automated reconciliation process that synthesized data across multiple systems and charts of accounts and ensured accurate, timely and comprehensive data and analytics. Subsequently, he led the development of secure and customized web applications to automate the goals and payouts process for the company’s 4,000-person global sales force.
