Jeff Bockus

Jeff Bockus is a Managing Director in FTI Consulting’s Data & Analytics practice and advises financial service clients who are navigating complex consumer litigation, class actions, investigations, disputes, regulatory inquiries and claims administration. In partnership with counsel, Mr. Bockus provides strategic and operational guidance through in-depth analysis of large-scale structured and unstructured enterprise data.

Mr. Bockus has extensive experience leading compliance reviews and forensic data analyses for mortgage originators, loan servicers, and credit reporting agencies. Insights derived from Mr. Bockus’ work has been used to support expert testimony regarding compliance with U.S. Treasury housing programs, the Fair Credit Reporting Act (“FCRA”) and the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (“RESPA”).

Mr. Bockus has also supported clients conducting internal investigations in the telecommunications, hospitality and social media industries.

Relevant Experience:

• Led multiple large cross-functional project teams charged with evaluating a large loan servicer’s compliance with industry regulations including the U.S. Treasury’s Home Affordable Modification Program (“HAMP”), RESPA and FHA guidelines
• Analyzed consumer credit data to support expert testimony related to compliance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act’s (“FCRA”) permissible purpose requirements
• Led the implementation of a workflow platform to support the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston’s administration of the Main Street Lending Program (“MSLP”)
• Supported expert testimony through analysis of capital markets and viability of third-party financing during COVID-19 to advise a recreation company client facing allegations for breach of fiduciary duty
• Led large project teams tasked with the re-underwriting creditworthiness of loans underpinning residential mortgage-backed securities
