When a flagship French group suffered a major cyber attack, FTI Consulting responded by mitigating and managing internal and external reputational risks, playing an active role in rebuilding the client’s information system, recovering data and providing strategic and operational support to the management team throughout the crisis.

The company's shareholders called on FTI Consulting to determine the nature and scope of the attack, assess its impact, and support ongoing operations in a degraded mode. Experts oversaw the entire investigation and ensured coordination with outside legal advisors, in addition to setting up specific monitoring to recover the data published by the group of attackers.
FTI Consulting provided support to the client’s teams in France and in other countries in which the company operates, helping to recover and decrypt the data, rebuild the information system and integrate a layer of cybersecurity essential for a successful restart.
