Benjamin Cheng Joins FTI Consulting Investment Administration & Reporting Group within the Real Estate Practice
Washington, D.C., May 1, 2023 — FTI Consulting, Inc. (NYSE: FCN) today announced the appointment of Benjamin Cheng as a Managing Director in the Investment Administration & Reporting group within the firm’s Real Estate Solutions practice.
Mr. Cheng, who is based in Washington, D.C., brings more than 25 years of experience in finance and accounting having worked with Wall Street and community banks, the Federal Reserve, NCUA, the insurance industry, asset managers and other large corporate entities. He is an expert in U.S. GAAP, IFRS, U.S. banking regulations, SEC reporting and accounting for loans, investments and derivatives and has an extensive background in technical accounting, SEC regulatory reporting and banking regulations. In his role at FTI Consulting, Mr. Cheng will have a focus on helping clients mitigate and manage regulatory and accounting challenges.

Mr. Cheng joins FTI Consulting from EchoStar, where he was a Senior Director in its Technical Accounting Group. Prior to that he held positions as a Managing Director at PwC in the Financial Markets & Real Estate practice and as a Senior Vice President and Head of Financial Reporting and Accounting Policy at Webster Bank.

Mr. Cheng serves on the American Bankers’ Associate Committee, an exclusive roundtable forum of technical accountants in the banking industry, and is a Certified Public Accountant in Washington D.C., Maryland, Virginia and Pennsylvania.
