FTI Consulting Adds Building Information Modelling Expert in Asia to Bolster Construction, Projects & Assets Practice
Singapore, 7 November 2024 — FTI Consulting, Inc. (NYSE: FCN) today announced the appointment of building information modelling (“BIM”) and construction technology expert Ronan Collins as a Managing Director in the Construction, Projects & Assets practice, based in Singapore.
Mr. Collins is an expert in advising how to specify and plan the implementation of digital engineering processes in construction projects. During the past 30 years, Mr. Collins has implemented digital solutions and services for large-scale developments including airports, hotels, railways, universities, exhibition centres, casinos and complex industrial projects globally.

In his role at FTI Consulting, Mr. Collins will work with clients on the end-to-end management of construction projects. By implementing practical digital engineering transformation strategies aligned with modern information management solutions, including BIM, GIS, reality capture, and augmented reality, Mr. Collins believes that owners and contractors can enhance risk management systems, improve project controls and reduce overall costs.

Mr. Collins has implemented design, construction planning and facilities management technologies for both infrastructure and commercial projects. As part of his role project managing the Mass Rapid Transit project in Kuala Lumpur, he was instrumental in establishing the use of BIM, laser scanning, drones, GIS, mobile apps, data analytics and a common data environment.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Collins established a specialist consultancy in Hong Kong focused on construction technology, project information management, BIM and 4D planning. He also worked as a chartered structural engineer for Arup in Europe and Hong Kong.
