FTI Consulting Deepens Expertise in TMT Sector with Two Appointments in Strategic Communications Segment
Washington, D.C., Dec. 10, 2024 — FTI Consulting, Inc. (NYSE: FCN) today announced the appointment of Erin McPike and Rob Bradley as Managing Directors within the firm’s Strategic Communications segment, further strengthening the firm’s global capabilities in the Telecom, Media & Technology (“TMT”) industry. Ms. McPike will serve as the Americas Head of TMT for the segment, while Mr. Bradley will expand the depth of the M&A and activism bench.
“Erin and Rob each have extensive expertise honed through decades of communications experience supporting companies and leaders in the TMT sector,” said Brian Kennedy, Americas Head of FTI Consulting’s Strategic Communications segment. “Their experience across reputational crises, capital markets transactions and evolving areas of regulatory scrutiny will bring an immediate impact to our clients. Adding their diverse expertise to the team reflects the strength of our position in the market, as clients increasingly demand integrated, expert-led counsel that can balance complex stakeholder demands to deliver tangible results.”
Ms. McPike, who is based in Washington, D.C., joins FTI Consulting with deep expertise in public and political affairs, coalition building, media engagement, crisis management, and corporate and C-suite positioning and reputation management. In her role at FTI Consulting, Ms. McPike will lead the TMT sector for the Strategic Communications segment in the Americas, working in partnership with FTI Consulting’s global team led by Charles Palmer. She will support clients facing communications challenges across stakeholder and business issues as new technology transforms the sector and enables the digitization of all other industries.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Ms. McPike served in a public policy and communications role at Meta, directing global media strategies, including guiding the business through high-stakes crises, managing executive media engagement and handling external communications. Earlier in her career, she advised business and political leaders, including former presidential candidates Howard Schultz and Michael Bloomberg, and U.S. Senator John Hickenlooper, across media engagements and political campaigns. Previously, she was a national correspondent for CNN and a reporter with National Journal and Real Clear Politics, among others.
Commenting on her appointment, Ms. McPike said, “Companies and leaders in the TMT space today face a confluence of challenges, from intense political scrutiny and front-page crises to shareholder activist pressure and retaining and upskilling a changing workforce. I am thrilled to join FTI Consulting’s dynamic global platform and ready to work side by side with our clients as they navigate today’s challenging business landscape.”
Mr. Bradley joins the M&A and Activism team, where he will focus on the technology sector to support growing client demand around transactions and shareholder challenges. Prior to joining FTI Consulting, he led investor relations functions at several Software as a Service (“SaaS”) companies, including LogMeIn, Dropbox and DigitalOcean. Mr. Bradley has been a key part of transformational transactions, engagements with notable shareholder activists and successful initial public offerings.
Commenting on his appointment, Mr. Bradley said, “For the last 15 years, I saw firsthand how rapidly the technology sector changes. More importantly, I saw how collaboration with the right teams at pivotal moments can help organizations navigate inevitable challenges. I look forward to working with FTI Consulting’s global, integrated transaction communications team to support our TMT clients in realizing deal success, be it delivering investor support and approval, mitigating political risk for regulatory clearance or setting clients up for integration success.”
