FTI Consulting Expands Dispute Advisory Services Practice
Washington, D.C., Dec. 2, 2020 — FTI Consulting, Inc. (NYSE: FCN) today announced the appointment of David N. Paris as a Managing Director in the Dispute Advisory Services practice within the Forensic and Litigation Consulting segment in Washington, D.C.
Mr. Paris further enhances FTI Consulting’s Dispute Advisory Services practice, where he will focus on providing expert consulting advice and testimony in a variety of matters.
“David’s wide range of knowledge and client history is a tremendous addition for our team,” said Vince Thomas, Co-Leader of the Dispute Advisory Services practice at FTI Consulting. “His experience in economic research and analysis of business strategies makes him a great asset as we work to help our clients manage disputes in the current pandemic environment and beyond.”
Mr. Paris has over 30 years of experience analyzing damages, valuation and competition issues in complex commercial disputes in the U.S. and international courts, as well as in arbitration and administrative proceedings. These disputes have dealt with patent, trademark and copyright infringement, misappropriation of trade secrets, secondary considerations of nonobviousness, breach of contract, fraud, employment-related issues, and antitrust violations.
Mr. Paris also has experience addressing economic issues related to remedial orders sought, public interest factors and bonding in Section 337 investigations before the International Trade Commission; advising clients on financial and economic considerations in license negotiations; and assisting in investigations involving intellectual property. He has worked extensively with attorneys in all phases of the discovery process.

Mr. Paris is an associate member of the American Bar Association, as well as a member of the Licensing Executives Society and the National Association for Business Economics. He also serves on the board of directors (past chair) at One World Education, a nonprofit organization in Washington, D.C., that was founded by teachers who developed a writing curriculum that emphasizes critical thinking, effective writing, oral presentation and social justice.
