FTI Consulting Expands Strategic Communications Team in Singapore with Four Senior Appointments
Singapore, 31 May 2022 — FTI Consulting, Inc. (NYSE: FCN) today announced the expansion of its Strategic Communications segment in Singapore with four senior appointments.
Lu-Ann Ong has joined as a Managing Director, while Matthew Taylor, Nour Shreim and Renee Yuen have been appointed Senior Directors. The appointments follow the continued growth of FTI Consulting’s Strategic Communications segment in Southeast Asia and reflect the firm’s commitment to attracting and retaining high-quality talent in the region.
“Following several years of steady growth, the Southeast Asia Strategic Communications practice is expanding its team to strengthen our ability to help our clients mitigate risks and achieve successful outcomes,” said Thomas Evrard, a Senior Managing Director and Southeast Asia Lead of FTI Consulting’s Strategic Communications segment. “Lu-Ann, Matthew, Nour and Renee collectively bring a wealth of expertise in media, branding, digital analytics and public policy to our team. Their experience will be instrumental in the next phase of our growth in the region.”
Ms. Ong brings over 20 years of experience advising boards, senior executives, public service leaders and business owners in Asia on growth and transformation strategies to establish market position and strengthen corporate reputation. Ms. Ong has curated environmental, social and governance (“ESG”)-related thought leadership through running events, conducting training sessions for senior executives on topic engagement and delivery, and serving as a sustainability communications subject-matter expert to top-tier global consulting firms. Most recently, she founded, built and managed a boutique consultancy in Singapore for 14 years, where she led a dynamic, high-performing team that served more than 50 clients in the public and private sectors.
Mr. Taylor has 20 years of experience in broadcast journalism with an extensive history in financial news media. He was most recently an Anchor and Senior Correspondent at CNBC Television in Singapore, where he hosted the network’s daily program Capital Connection from the studios at the Singapore Exchange. Previously, he worked for more than a decade as CNBC’s dedicated Australian Correspondent, where he covered major stories in Australia and New Zealand.
Ms. Shreim’s areas of expertise include data strategy and innovation, business analytics, consumer and product insights, business intelligence and market research. Prior to FTI Consulting, Ms. Shreim was the Head of Data and Insights for a fast-growing hospitality provider in Asia, where she led its digital transformation, which included building a sound data infrastructure and a full CRM solution and optimising its tech-stack initiatives. She was previously the Data & Insight Head for a leading sports technology provider, where she was responsible for advising clients on data strategies and reporting.
Ms. Yuen has extensive experience in public policy, diplomacy and regulatory project management. She joins from Credit Suisse, where she managed projects across different business lines in the bank. Ms. Yuen also served in Singapore’s Ministry of Trade and Industry, where she developed and implemented Singapore’s negotiating strategy for multilateral free trade agreements. In addition, Ms. Yuen managed trade liberalisation initiatives at the World Trade Organisation and the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum.
