FTI Consulting Strengthens Public Affairs Practice in Brussels with Appointment of Sustainability Expert Martin Porter as Senior Advisor
Brussels, 5 September 2018 — FTI Consulting, Inc. (NYSE: FCN) today announced its continued growth across Europe with the appointment of Martin Porter as a Senior Advisor in its Public Affairs practice within the Strategic Communications segment. He will be based in Brussels.
Dr Porter joins FTI Consulting as a highly entrepreneurial, networked and respected European public affairs and communications professional, with more than 20 years of consulting experience. He has advised blue-chip multinationals, business associations, coalitions and NGOs on strategic engagement and the tactical delivery of initiatives designed to influence the EU public policy agenda, in particular on industry, environment and sustainability issues.
Most recently, Dr Porter was Europe Group Co-Ordinator for the European Climate Foundation in Brussels, where he was its main EU affairs representative and oversaw the Brussels/EU dimension for its energy, buildings, transport, industry and governance programmes. He has been a Senior Associate for Cambridge University’s Programme for Sustainability Leadership since 2011 and is a member of both the Economic and Social Committee’s Consultative Committee of Industrial Change and the European Commission’s H2020 Advisory Group on Climate Change.
