FTI Consulting Continues Cybersecurity Practice Growth with Appointment of Industrial Control Systems Expert
Mr. Stites Joins as a Managing Director, Focusing on Critical Infrastructure Protection and Bringing More than 20 Years of Experience in U.S. Military and Private-Sector Cybersecurity Roles
Washington, D.C., Aug. 21, 2019 — FTI Consulting, Inc. (NYSE: FCN) today announced the continued growth of its Cybersecurity practice with the appointment of Brian Stites as a Managing Director.
Based in Washington, D.C., Mr. Stites brings more than 20 years of cybersecurity experience in high-level roles in the defense, government and private sectors, with specific expertise in industrial control systems across the defense, energy, metro infrastructure, aviation, space and transportation sectors. He will assist clients with cyber infrastructure preparedness, cyber incident response and coordination, risk management, strategic investments, policy and compliance, investigations and crisis management.

Mr. Stites joins FTI Consulting from Jacobs Engineering Company, where he was the Deputy Director of the Operational Technology Services Group and focused on digital infrastructure safety and resiliency. He also previously served as Vice President of Business Development at Mission Secure, Inc.; Chief Architect and Senior Manager for Raytheon’s Defense and Commercial Cyber Resilience Group; and Senior Strategic and Operational Planner for L-3 National Security Solutions.
In addition to his private sector experience, Mr. Stites served 22 years in the U.S. Navy and U.S. Navy Reserve. He held numerous senior positions focused on cybersecurity, including as a Commanding Officer as well as the Joint Staff Representative to U.S. Cyber Command, where he was the cyber mission expert for mission assurance, technology scouting, homeland defense and federal emergency response. He also served in other high-level roles within the National Security Agency, U.S. Cyber Command, U.S. Navy’s Fleet Cyber Command and the Office of Naval Research.

The addition of Mr. Stites continues the growth of the Cybersecurity practice at FTI Consulting, which earlier this year appointed Ronald Yearwood, a former FBI special agent, and Jordan Rae Kelly, former Director for Cyber Incident Response at the White House, as Senior Managing Directors. The Cybersecurity practice at FTI Consulting leverages experts from across the firm to provide clients with a holistic approach to cybersecurity and has been engaged to address some of the largest and most complex cybersecurity incidents in the headlines over the last year.
