Pablo Zárate leads FTI Consulting’s Strategic Communications practice in Mexico, focusing on high-stakes special situations within litigation processes, complex financial transactions, public affairs disputes, regulatory issues, and reputational crises. He originally joined FTI Consulting in Washington, D.C., and eventually moved back to his native Mexico City, founding the Strategic Communications practice in the country.
During his time at FTI Consulting, Mr. Zárate has provided strategy and communications advice to boards of directors and senior management teams within a broad range of companies, from leading Mexican groups to Fortune 100 companies. He has also conceptualized and developed analysis, communications, and rapid response platforms for prominent trade associations and industries in Mexico. His practice focuses on highly regulated industries.
Before joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Zárate served as independent political consultant to candidates and governments at the state and municipal level in Mexico; as advisor and chief speechwriter to two Mexican cabinet agency heads, and as international advocacy fellow at a public affairs boutique firm in Washington D.C.
