Allen Carpenter

Allen Carpenter specializes in supply chain, transportation and operational excellence. Mr. Carpenter has more than 15 years of experience helping organizations optimize supply chains, transportation networks and operations across the manufacturing, technology, automotive, retail and apparel, and energy industries. He also has extensive international experience supporting clients throughout North and South America, Europe and Asia.

Mr. Carpenter advises clients on supply chain strategy, transportation optimization, warehousing and distribution, network design, inventory management and working capital improvement. His experience includes operational due diligence, third-party logistics (“3PL”) strategy, organizational redesign, systems implementation and business intelligence solutions that improve operational performance and profitability.

Mr. Carpenter rejoined FTI Consulting after serving as vice president of transformation at Oregon Tool, a Platinum Equity portfolio company, where he led initiatives including manufacturing footprint optimization, 3PL implementation, sales, inventory and operations planning (“SIOP”) transformation, SKU rationalization and interim operational leadership. 

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Carpenter held leadership roles at Amazon, Ryder System and Panalpina (now DSV). In these positions, his work included network optimization, warehousing and distribution, transportation strategy, demand and capacity planning, freight forwarding and lean transformation, as well as implementations of warehouse management systems (“WMS") and transportation management systems (“TMS”).
