Andrew Spirito

Andrew Spirito is a member of the Turnaround & Restructuring practice and has experience advising companies, lenders, creditors and equity sponsors across a diverse range of industries on both in- and out-of-court restructurings.

Mr. Spirito has assisted clients in an advisor capacity on a variety of matters spanning business strategy and planning, crisis management, cash and liquidity management and operational improvement. He has held numerous interim roles on behalf of clients within the finance, planning and transformation functions.

Mr. Spirito is knowledgeable in cost reduction and liquidity improvement, as well as budgeting, forecasting and cash management for healthy and distressed companies. He has conducted operational and financial due diligence on behalf of lenders and managed pre-close diligence for financial sponsors. Additionally, Mr. Spirito has advised on and executed multiple complex business carve-outs and merger integration efforts.

Relevant Experience:

• Conducted a strategic review of major products for Invitae Corporation, assisting the organization with the development and execution of two business realignments; supported the formal in-court restructuring which culminated with a sale of the business to Labcorp
• Worked with the management team of a life science company to develop a business plan, capital allocation framework and liquidity forecast; developed a projection model and broadly supported the eventual out-of-court sale process
• Served as Director of Business Transformation for a cleaning services company; led implementation of a zero-based budgeting program and supported the carve-out of the business
• Served as Director of Business Transformation for an ATM manufacturer; assisted the management team with the development and implementation of a savings plan and worked with the finance organization to overhaul the budgeting and forecasting process
