Betty Ng is a Managing Director in the Turnaround & Restructuring segment at FTI Consulting and is based in Singapore.
Betty is a turnaround and restructuring specialist with more than 18 years of experience working in both banking and professional services. She specialises in restructuring and turnaround, corporate recovery and insolvency administration. She advises financiers, publicly listed corporations and large privately held companies on some of the most complex cross border insolvency, enforcement, recovery and litigation issues with a view to help financiers maximise recoveries on their non-performing loan exposures and to assist underperforming corporations with improving value.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Betty was a Director at an international bank based in Singapore, where she was responsible for managing distressed assets and non-performing exposures that were in excess of USD200 million each across multiple jurisdictions, including Asia, and led numerous turnaround and restructuring negotiations.
Prior to her time in the banking sector, Betty was a Director of the Restructuring & Insolvency practice at a Big Four firm in Singapore, where she led some of the largest local and international restructuring and insolvency transactions such as Lehman Brothers in Asia Pacific.
Throughout Betty’s career, she has specialised in cross-border, multicreditor and debtor-led restructuring work-outs, turnaround advisory and formal Insolvency Appointments encompassing Schemes of Arrangement, Judicial Management, Receiverships, Compulsory and Voluntary Liquidation appointments.
