About Bill
William G. Bouvier is a Managing Director in FTI Consulting’s Global Insurance Services practice within the Forensic & Litigation Consulting segment. Mr. Bouvier specializes in complex claims management, reinsurance, litigation and arbitration oversight and operational integration. He has extensive experience across the insurance and reinsurance industries, supporting clients with audits, transactional due diligence and claims portfolio evaluation.
Mr. Bouvier has more than 30 years of experience managing complex, high-severity claim portfolios and driving organizational performance. He has directed large-scale claims operations and developed governance and reporting structures that align with enterprise risk objectives. His project work includes leading due diligence programs for acquisitions, integrating newly acquired portfolios and establishing operational frameworks to enhance claims governance and performance management.
Before joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Bouvier served as Senior Vice President and Claims Director, North America for Compre Group, where he oversaw both direct and reinsurance teams, including third-party administrator (“TPA”) management. Earlier in his career, Mr. Bouvier held senior roles with The RiverStone Group, R&Q and The Hartford, where he managed legacy liabilities and long-tail exposures, including mass tort portfolios. He also led strategic initiatives across reinsurance recovery and dispute resolution.
Mr. Bouvier holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (“CPCU”), Associate in Reinsurance (“ARe”) and Associate in Claims (“AIC”) designations. He previously served on the board of directors for the Association of Insurance and Reinsurance Run-Off Companies (“AIRROC”), where he co-chaired the education committee and served on numerous claims management, strategy and emerging risk teams.

- Managed reinsurance collections and resolution of contested matters with carriers, brokers and counsel

- Designed performance management strategies for TPAs and internal claims teams to enhance efficiency
