About Blake
Blake Hacker is a member of the Office of the CFO Solutions practice. Mr. Hacker is a leader in strategic finance and has held interim chief financial officer (“CFO”), financial planning and analysis (“FP&A”) and controllership roles for PE-backed organizations. He has led numerous finance and technology transformation initiatives across a broad range of industries.
Mr. Hacker is a hands-on leader focused on improving reporting and enhancing analytics, as well as enabling more timely and accurate information to support executive decision-making. He is experienced in business process remediation and optimizing operational accounting and finance activities. Additionally, he understands the complexities of highly cross-functional operations and can quickly deconstruct challenging business scenarios, break down silos and identify root causes to develop holistic recommendations.
Mr. Hacker is technologically adept and often bridges the gap between finance and information technology (“IT”). He has partnered with executive leadership on several transformative initiatives, resulting in significant efficiency gains and reductions in headcount and overhead. Mr. Hacker has also overseen numerous end-to-end enterprise resource planning (“ERP”) system transformations and introduced automation across accounts payable, accounts receivable, Accounting Standards Codification (“ASC”) 606 revenue recognition, ASC 842 lease accounting and sales tax compliance.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Hacker was vice president of finance and corporate controller at a consumer electronics manufacturer, where he oversaw accounting, supply chain and FP&A operations. He served as a U.S. Navy SEAL and began his civilian career in Big Four audit and assurance.
Relevant Experience:
- Engaged as interim CFO for a $100 million SaaS business, overseeing FP&A forecasting and annual recurring revenue (“ARR”) reporting enhancements and leading ERP and business transformation initiatives
- Served as interim CFO for a $200 million PE-backed casino and hospitality organization, implementing cash controls, rolling forecasts and labor tracking
- Engaged as interim CFO for a $1 billion PE-backed licensed apparel manufacturer
- Coordinated reporting and analytics transformation for a $1.5 billion building products manufacturer across 13 workstreams, enabling segment reporting, price-volume-mix analysis and financial dashboards
- Served as interim corporate controller for the carve-out of a $300 million PE-backed global media distribution organization
- Implemented OneStream at a $300 million PE-backed concrete manufacturer, automating key reporting outputs
- Remediated material weaknesses related to ASC 606 revenue recognition for a $1 billion global telecom organization
- Redesigned chart of accounts and reporting infrastructure for a $100 million electronic gaming organization
