Charles Moran

Charles (Chuck) Moran is a Senior Advisor at FTI Consulting within the Strategic Communications segment. With more than three decades of experience as a senior communications and public affairs professional, Mr. Moran helps clients navigate the evolving energy industry, balance changing dynamics against shifting geopolitical forces, stakeholder expectations, shareholder activism and the M&A landscape, and provide senior communications teams with an on-the-ground perspective for managing complex business challenges.

Mr. Moran is a trusted advisor to CEOs and boards of directors and has successfully developed and positioned teams to implement strategies that enhance and protect reputation, advance business strategies and strengthen employee engagement. His expertise includes complex issues management, community outreach, crisis communications and media relations, as well as internal communications, CEO transitions, shareholder activism and large infrastructure project engagement planning. He has led internal and external affairs, government and community engagement and stakeholder management for leading national and international organizations across electric generating, local distribution, interstate pipeline and downstream sectors.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Moran served as Chief Communications and Public Affairs Officer for Phillips 66, where he navigated a range of high-profile issues. He also served as Senior Vice President of Public Affairs and Communications at TC Energy and held senior roles at Columbia Pipeline Group and NiSource.

Mr. Moran has served on a variety of trade association committees and recently completed a term as Chairman of the American Petroleum Institute’s Communications Committee. He earned a B.A. in Political Science from Merrimack College and an M.P.A. from American International College.
