Daniel Buzacott

Daniel Buzacott is a delivery-oriented leader with a wide variety of skills and a non-traditional background informing his work as a consultant. Daniel works collaboratively with others to effectively build team capacity and capability.

Daniel’s specialty is healthcare data and analytics, where he leverages his deep technical expertise and knowledge of the healthcare sector to turn data into insights and actions. Daniel supports clients, program and delivery teams to understand and leverage their data assets, facilitating more effective healthcare delivery across Australia.

Daniel has expertise in data science and predictive/prescriptive modelling. He is skilled in developing dashboards and reporting solutions, as well as cost and financial modelling which encompasses funding models, not-for-profits and budget processes. His experience extends to data integration, interoperability and system connectivity.

Additionally, Daniel specialises in health workforce analysis and major incident response. He is also well-versed in agile delivery methodologies, providing coaching and governance to support effective project execution.

Relevant Experience:

• Developed a cost model for a national demand-driven healthcare program, which is used by the Department of Health and Aged Care (‘DOHAC’) to manage the annual budgeting process, model proposed changes to program eligibility, usage and pricing, and inform program decision-making
• Provided program management services for a major IT implementation program within the healthcare sector, with accountability for overall program Risk, Assumptions, Issues and Dependencies (‘RAID’) management, status reporting and escalations to relevant governance groups.
• Created a workforce model for an Australian Local Health District (‘LHD’), to allow complex analysis and modelling of the District’s clinical and non-clinical workforce
• Supported emergency responses to major clinical incidents, including rapid analysis of impacts, communications and decision support services
