David Abt

David Abt specializes in corporate strategy definition, business transformation and transaction services across the Telecom, Media & Technology (“TMT”) value chain and has served C-suite clients on advisory projects in Europe, the Middle East and Africa for more than a decade. David’s vast experience ranges from defining growth strategies for tech and infrastructure companies, to supporting end-to-end business transformation and optimization programs for telecom operators (e.g., infrastructure carve-outs, cost efficiencies and commercial turnarounds) and developing national agendas for sovereign wealth funds, regulators and giga-projects.

David is recognized as a thought leader in the international wholesale, digital infrastructure and information and communications technology (“ICT”) industry, driving collaboration amongst organizations and at conferences and industry forums. David was part of the senior team at Delta Partners, a leading global TMT strategy consulting and investment banking boutique, now FTI Delta, a global, industry-specialized strategy consulting practice of FTI Consulting. Previously, David worked with McKinsey & Company supporting telecommunication projects globally. David also published various white papers, including: “Digital Infrastructure Investments: Investing in the Future” (2023), “Are Telcos Destined to Be Pipes?” (2022) and “The Future of Customer Experience: Why NFV/SDN Can Bring Much More Than Just Operational Savings to Operators” (2017).

David is fluent in English and German and has a good working knowledge of Spanish.

• Completed an infrastructure carve-out and transaction for an EMEA incumbent operator
