David Abt

David Abt specializes in corporate strategy definition, business transformation and transaction services across the telecom, media and technology (“TMT”) value chain and has served C-suite clients on advisory projects in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (“EMEA”) for more than a decade. David’s vast experience ranges from defining growth strategies for tech and infrastructure companies to developing and implementing AI strategies across various client profiles. He also supports end-to-end business transformation and optimization programs such as infrastructure carve-outs, cost efficiencies and commercial turnarounds for telecom operators and has significant experience creating national agendas for sovereign wealth funds, regulators and giga-projects.

David is recognized as a thought leader in the international wholesale, digital infrastructure, tech and AI sectors, driving collaboration among organizations and at conferences and industry forums. He was part of the senior team at Delta Partners, a leading global TMT strategy consulting and investment banking boutique that is now part of FTI Consulting’s global industry-specialized Strategy & Transformation TMT practice. Previously, David worked with McKinsey & Company, supporting telecommunication projects globally.

David has published various whitepapers, including: “Digital Infrastructure Investments: Investing in the Future” (2023), “Are Telcos Destined to Be Pipes?” (2022) and “The Future of Customer Experience: Why NFV/SDN Can Bring Much More Than Just Operational Savings to Operators” (2017).

David is fluent in English and German and has a working knowledge of Spanish.
