Debbie Waung

Debbie Waung is a Managing Director in the Telecom, Media & Technology (“TMT”) practice. Ms. Waung advises companies on technology transformations focused on cost optimization, workforce strategy implementation, and operational and process improvement across technology, call center, media, e-commerce, gaming and telecom sectors.

Ms. Waung has more than 15 years of experience driving enterprise transformations and full-scale optimization programs focused on increasing overall profitability and identifying structural savings in the tens-to-hundreds of millions for strategic reinvestment.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Ms. Waung spent five years in AlixPartners’ TMT group within the Enterprise Improvement practice. She also spent nearly a decade at Novetta Solutions (now part of Accenture Federal Services), supporting research, development and customer integration of advanced data analytic solutions.

Relevant Experience:

• Led a joint working capital and cost transformation program for a $1 billion technology services company, driving aggressive in-year cost-out and executing a more than $100 million run-rate
• Led multi-phase cost optimization and margin improvement initiatives for a more than $2 billion cloud computing services provider, driving over $150 million in savings
• Led a rapid diagnostic to drive 30% in-year EBITDA margin improvement for a more than $1 billion international customer experience (“CX”) and business process outsourcing (“BPO”) solutions provider; assessed operations, real estate, external spend, and selling, general and administrative (“SG&A”) expenses
• Led the technology workstream of a $2 billion online retail manufacturer; supported financial reforecasts to control a more than $200 million budget
• Led product feature and technology project rationalization for a $2 billion e-commerce company to refocus investments
• Led corporate technology supplier strategy implementation for a $4 billion gaming manufacturer
