Diego Gamboa works with clients in the Telecom, Media and Technology (“TMT”) industry to guide them through their most complex issues. Mr. Gamboa has more than 15 years of experience advising clients through transformational initiatives including merger and acquisition integration, divestitures, EBITDA improvement and functional optimization. He has also done work in the supply chain and logistics space.
Mr. Gamboa has led multiple performance improvement, integration and separation engagements for clients across the TMT space. He has guided clients through post-merger integration activities, separation of key business units into standalone companies and operating model transformations. He has advised clients in multiple cost reduction programs valued between $100 million and $10 billion. He has also worked with clients to identify and execute on operational improvement opportunities in areas such as research and development (“R&D”), shared services and corporate functions.
In his engagements, Mr. Gamboa has focused on ensuring clients achieve their operational and financial goals while enabling their strategic priorities and growth aspirations.
- Led separation readiness activities for a $7 billion carve-out in the gaming technology industry to operate as a standalone company
- Designed and implemented an R&D portfolio management process for a $28 billion electronic healthcare records company, resulting in $100+ million in cost-out
- Led transformation management office for a large U.S.-based telecom operator to identify and track over $10 billion cost reduction to be invested in 5G rollout
- Performed multiple operational due diligence engagements in the technology space for various private equity funds
