Elizabeth DeStephens

Elizabeth DeStephens is a Managing Director in FTI Consulting’s Power, Renewables & Energy Transition practice. Elizabeth has more than 20 years of experience in the energy, power and industrial sectors, with deep expertise in strategic advisory, business valuation, business transformation, transaction execution and financial, operational and commercial due diligence. She is a specialist in guiding organizations and boards facing complex change.

Prior to FTI Consulting, Elizabeth served as a senior executive at a private equity-backed energy company. Prior to that, she was an executive at a large public energy and carbon management company, where she was responsible for business transformation efforts and reserves-related SEC reporting, SOX compliance and lender redeterminations. She began her career in technical and commercial roles at large energy companies covering upstream oil and gas, natural gas midstream, liquefied natural gas (“LNG”) and nuclear energy.

Over her career, Elizabeth has played a lead role in more than $20 billion of consummated transactions and financings for upstream and power assets, including joint ventures, mezzanine debt, acquisitions, divestitures, reserve-based loans, debt exchange and secured and unsecured debt.

As an executive and strategic advisor, Elizabeth has helped to improve and grow businesses, applying her deep understanding of business fundamentals and strategy from an owner, contractor and operator perspective.
