About Enrico
Enrico Valdata has nearly 20 years of corporate finance advisory experience with a particular focus on stressed and distressed situations. Enrico has a holistic view of financial restructuring and turnaround, having worked as both an advisor (lender and borrower side) and investor and servicer.
Enrico’s experience also includes business planning, cost rationalization, cash flow improvements, financial restructuring for different types of shareholders (family-owned/private equity owned/listed companies) both in mid-market and large corporations. He also worked in the set up and implementation of the largest unlikely-to-pay (“UTP”) management platform in Italy, serving the two main Italian banks.
Enrico has particular industry expertise in real estate and construction, hospitality, fashion/luxury, retail and consumer products.
Before joining FTI Consulting, Enrico was Head of Top and Large Files UTP at Prelios, managing approximately 5 billion distressed assets. Prior to this, he was Partner at BDO, where he led the Restructuring and Insolvency practice, managing more than 40 deals, on both the lender and borrower sides.
Relevant Experience:
- Head of the UTP management unit of the most important Italian servicer managing about 10 billion loans, set up and scale up of the structure
- Group restructuring of a real estate and construction company with about 400 million of net financial position (“NFP”) and 10 banks involved
- Turnaround plan preparation, cash management and debt restructuring agreement for an Italian retailer
- Turnaround plan preparation, cash management and debt restructuring of an energy company along with the family-owned real estate company
- Sell-side M&A advisor for an Italian tech company sold to a U.S. Nasdaq-listed corporation
