About Greg
Greg Langton is a member of the Human Capital Services practice and brings more than 10 years of human resources (“HR”) experience in both industry and consulting. Mr. Langton works on broad-based and executive compensation, financial HR due diligence and HR performance improvement initiatives, as well as HR carve-outs and merger integrations.
Mr. Langton has extensive experience within HR talent and rewards across various industries, including aviation, technology, finance, manufacturing and consumer goods.
Prior to FTI Consulting, Mr. Langton was a member of Mercer’s career and rewards consulting group, during which he led compensation and career framework projects for clients including Mastercard, PepsiCo, NFL, Barnes Group, MGM Resorts and Capgemini.
Outside of consulting, Mr. Langton was a compensation manager for an investment management firm in New York and a software technology company in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Relevant Experience:
- Designed executive incentive plan performance and payout leverages for an energy company, balancing challenging metrics aligned to shareholder interests with achievable targets that reflect prevalent market practices
- Led multiple executive and broad-based compensation benchmarking initiatives, which have included calibrating company compensation philosophies to actual market alignment
- Designed and implemented a salary structure for a technology company that reflected market pay practices, enabled compensation modelling aligned to market movements and ensured appropriateness of salaries based on the scope of roles, responsibilities and required skills
- Developed a go-forward, sustainable career framework for the operations and shared services portion of a real-estate investment bank that included career pathing, job architecture, salary banding and short-term incentive targets
