Henry Lister provides strategic advice to companies and their stakeholders during periods of financial stress or change. Henry specialises in helping businesses assess and implement a range of restructuring options to stabilise operations and restore financial sustainability, including transformation initiatives, balance sheet transactions and formal restructuring processes.
Since joining FTI Consulting in 2017, Henry has advised clients in Australia and the United Kingdom across the agriculture, education, healthcare, materials, mining, retail, telecommunications and travel sectors. His ability to distil complex issues and deliver practical, outcome-driven solutions has made him a trusted advisor to company boards, private equity sponsors and lenders.
Henry’s expertise spans strategic and operational reviews, cash and liquidity management, cost optimisation, restructuring options analysis, financial modelling and due diligence. His approach is grounded in rigorous analysis tailored to each client’s unique circumstances, aiming to preserve value and enable long-term success.
Relevant Experience:
- Advisor, options analysis and commercial due diligence support for an Australian bank on their investment in a large motor vehicle repair company
- Financial due diligence for a syndicate of lenders on the potential Asset-Based Lending (‘ABL’) refinance of a large Australian steel manufacturing company with revenue of approximately AUD5 billion
- Advised the lender to, and subsequently management team of, a leading global cobalt refinery with revenue of approximately USD200 million
- Working capital optimisation for ASX-listed global satellite telecommunications company with revenue of approximately AUD1 billion
- Advisor to a British media intelligence company on its merger integration strategy following the acquisition of a comparable Australian business (approximately AUD130 million combined revenue)
- Acted on a variety of insolvency appointments to stabilise and recapitalise businesses
- Contributor to various independent expert reports regarding solvency, s444GA share transfers and creditors’ schemes of arrangement
