About Hitesh
Hitesh Tak has more than 25 years of industry and consulting experience. Mr. Tak specializes in strategy, large-scale business transformation, operational excellence and cost efficiency programs across the industrials, automotive, agriculture commodities and diversified conglomerates sectors.
Mr. Tak has led major projects across Southeast Asia, India, Sri Lanka, Japan, China, Germany and Africa, delivering impact through EBITDA uplift, supply chain turnarounds, post-merger integrations, transaction execution and commercial repositioning. He has held senior regional leadership roles including Asia Pacific operations topic leadership, Asia Pacific agriculture-commodities head, and Southeast Asia auto and low-carbon mobility head.
Prior to consulting, Mr. Tak served as a marine engineer officer on crude oil and gas carriers with a global marquee energy major. This technical foundation, combined with strategic advisory expertise, enables him to bridge operational depth with boardroom-level transformation.
A regular speaker and commentator on supply chain resilience, industrial transformation and sustainability, Mr. Tak’s perspectives have appeared in the Jakarta Post, Bangkok Post, Vietnam Investment Review, Business Times and The Edge. Additionally, his perspectives on net-zero pathways were highlighted in the Malaysian Parliament.
Relevant Experience:
- Orchestrated multiyear industrial turnaround and business transformation for a Japanese multinational corporation (‘MNC’), generating more than $100 million in impact
- Drove performance improvement at an Indonesian agriculture-commodities major through restructuring and operational transformation, resulting in a more than $200 million value uplift
- Led post-merger integration for a Singapore-based conglomerate, delivering over $100 million in synergies
- Designed global strategic blueprints and delivered ‘Vision 2050’ projects for leading shipping, plantation and regional auto players
- Implemented multiple EBITDA-enhancement programs across ASEAN and India, including sales uplift, procurement, overall equipment effectiveness (‘OEE’) improvement, supply chain optimization and lean engineering
- Directed footprint optimization and growth strategies amid geopolitical shifts, supporting multiple regional and global clients with ASEAN as the epicenter
- Executed strategic due diligences for conglomerates, PEs and sovereign funds, covering buy- and sell-side, portfolio reviews and joint ventures
