About James
James Kirchgraber has nearly a decade of experience providing restructuring, turnaround and financial solutions to companies, interim officers, secured lenders and unsecured creditors throughout a variety of distressed situations. James specialises in liquidity and working capital management, business planning and strategic options analysis.
James has advised on a number of highly critical transactions in both North America and the Europe, Middle East and Africa (‘EMEA’) region. These engagements have spanned many industries, including chemicals, infrastructure, power and renewables, aviation, consumer products, healthcare, financial services, manufacturing, media and retail. He works with companies and lenders as they navigate in- and out-of-court restructurings.
James began his career at FTI Consulting in New York City before transferring to the firm’s London office. He graduated with a B.B.A. in Finance and International Business from Villanova University.
Relevant Experience:
- Supported the interim CFO of Kem One, an approximately €1 billion French chemicals business, with liquidity management, short-term cash flow forecasting and sizing near-term funding requirements
- Supported Altera Infrastructure, a Norwegian shipping business, with liquidity management, transaction planning and implementation for a $3.5 billion recapitalisation via Chapter 11
- Prepared a long-term financial model to support an amend-and-extend process for Isagenix Worldwide, an approximately $500 million multilevel marketing (‘MLM’) business
- Advised the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors of Aeromexico
- Advised the revolving credit facility (‘RCF’) lenders in a partial debt-for-equity exchange for a Swedish streaming service
