Jason Keenan

Jason Keenan is an e-discovery expert and data science professional with a proven track record in managing large-scale discovery projects, internal investigations and managed document review. Mr. Keenan advises clients on applying industry best practices and leveraging innovative legal technology including artificial intelligence to address complex, time-sensitive data challenges with a focus on reducing costs, increasing efficiency and maintaining defensibility.

Mr. Keenan has spent more than 10 years at FTI Technology, leading engagements with top law firms and corporate legal departments across the UK, United States and European Union (“EU”). He has directed multijurisdictional matters and coordinated global teams to support clients across regions and sectors including financial services, energy, construction, automotive and technology.

Mr. Keenan’s project management experience includes large-scale class action and competition litigation, merger clearance, regulatory compliance and responses to investigations by authorities including the Competition and Markets Authority, European Commission, Federal Trade Commission and Department of Justice. Mr. Keenan also plays an active role in supporting FTI Technology’s global graduate training program, helping to train and mentor new professionals entering the industry.

Prior to joining FTI Technology, Mr. Keenan was part of the discovery analytics and production team at Google’s Silicon Valley headquarters. He developed automated workflows and advanced data reduction strategies to accelerate review and isolate key information quickly while minimising costs.

Relevant Experience:

• Supported a global firm’s internal investigation regarding whistleblower allegations involving employees in India and the EU to deliver robust reporting and analysis of mobile chat data
• Led portfolio of discovery and investigation matters, developing a scalable playbook for handling data subject access requests and California Consumer Privacy Act matters, employment and intellectual property litigation and internal investigations
• Managed multiyear dispute for a U.S. firm, overseeing data strategy and review operations to achieve a 35% reduction in data volume through the identification and defensible exclusion of non-relevant material
• Designed bespoke data workflows to support follow-on damages assessment spanning several EU countries, enabling joint defence group to evaluate more than 600,000 claims
