Keeley Hanlon

Keeley Hanlon is a Managing Director in FTI Consulting’s Strategic Communications segment, based in Washington, D.C. Ms. Hanlon specializes in public affairs, corporate communications and complex issues management for companies in the retail and consumer products sector.

With nearly two decades of experience at the intersection of business and public affairs, Ms. Hanlon advises companies in highly regulated industries, developing and executing communications strategies that enable them to effectively navigate policy and reputational challenges and convey their enterprise value to customers, regulators, investors, employees, the media and other business-critical stakeholders.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, she served as a Managing Director at Purple Strategies, a strategic advisory firm focusing on reputation, issues management and advocacy. While in that role, she counseled Fortune 500 clients negotiating complex regulatory environments and stakeholder pressure, providing steady guidance to C-suite leaders during crises, business transformation and periods of heightened public scrutiny. She worked with leading brands across consumer goods, retail, healthcare, manufacturing, transportation and logistics, addressing challenges such as ingredient integrity, product safety and recalls, consumer actions, supply chain transparency, labor disruptions and environmental issues, with projects protecting and enhancing business value in the billions.

Ms. Hanlon began her career on Capitol Hill and held roles at Allegiance Strategies, the National Federation of Independent Business and other public affairs organizations, managing state and federal campaigns and initiatives on behalf of nonprofit advocacy organizations, business coalitions, trade associations, political candidates and committees.

Ms. Hanlon holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Arkansas and a Postgraduate Diploma in Global Diplomacy from SOAS University of London.
