About Kelly
Kelly Souza is a Senior Director in FTI Consulting’s Strategic Communications segment. Kelly has expertise in media relations, corporate communications, issues and crisis management and reputational image recovery. Over her 15 years of experience, she has advised companies across various industries in Brazil, Latin America and other regions.
Kelly is an experienced communications strategist with a track record of developing and implementing creative communications plans, mapping reputational risks and positioning ESG initiatives. She specializes in advising leadership on effective communications practices, stakeholder engagement and thought leadership strategies that drive organizational impact and visibility.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Kelly served as an Account Manager at Edelman, with a focus on financial services and regional strategic communications. She was the primary contact in Brazil for global industry-related projects, where she advised companies on high-profile business announcements, designed profile-raising strategies for leading firms and coordinated impactful campaigns tailored to diverse markets.
Kelly is skilled in digital marketing and branding. She speaks Portuguese, Spanish and English.

- Directed strategic external communications for a credit rating company in Brazil, achieving a significant increase in positive media exposure by the end of the first year, with total media presence growing by more than 10%
- Managed corporate communications and media relations for a consumer product company across Brazil, the Southern Cone and Colombia, working with partner agencies to boost regional brand visibility, achieving substantial growth in positive exposure within the first year
