About Laura
Laura Marston has more than 20 years of experience in healthcare consulting and operations leadership, working in a wide variety of healthcare settings to deliver significant, lasting financial and operational improvements. As an outcome-driven senior professional, Ms. Marston has expertise in revenue cycle and operations improvement, patient access and contact center performance, automation and artificial intelligence strategy and implementation, margin improvement, cash acceleration, facility integration, workforce development and driving culture change to drive sustainable solutions.
Ms. Marston’s extensive revenue cycle experience includes leading numerous end-to-end revenue cycle performance transformation engagements, resulting in millions of dollars in cash acceleration and net revenue improvements. She led these engagements in a number of settings including academic medical centers, multifacility healthcare systems, community hospitals and physician group practices. She directed dozens of operational revenue cycle assessments focused on identifying and quantifying performance improvement opportunities and managed multifaceted performance improvement projects focused on revenue cycle, workforce efficiency, clinical operations, physician engagement and clinical documentation improvement.
Further, Ms. Marston has managed operational design, consolidation and centralization efforts for several revenue cycle organizations and led patient access, patient engagement and contact center strategy and optimization engagements in multiple settings including academic medical centers, community hospitals and regional physical therapy practices. In her work as a vice president of customer programs for a healthcare technology start-up, Ms. Marston also advised healthcare provider clients on automation and artificial intelligence strategy and implementation.
Ms. Marston holds a B.A. in Business Management and Psychology from Gustavus Adolphus College and an M.H.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is a certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
