Michael Russell

Michael Russell has over 14 years end-to-end eDiscovery project expertise, with nearly two decades of experience in the technology industry. During this time, he has worked on some of Australia’s largest and most complex matters both as an external consultant and in-house expert in a top-tier law firm. His expertise includes working with both national and international regulators, State and Federal Courts within Australia, and has performed internal investigations for major companies. 

Michael's in-depth experience with multiple processing methodologies and platforms, ensures that the correct tool and process is selected for the client and the matter. In addition to his technical expertise, Michael’s project management experience in managing multiple matter teams and projects internationally, allows him to deliver large projects quickly and efficiently while maintaining high and consistent quality standards.

Prior to FTI Consulting, Michael worked for 8 years at a top tier law firm in Australia managing their processing and complex technology implementations while also working on high profile matters requiring bespoke technology solutions. In addition, he has worked for a Big 4 consultancy , managing end-to-end eDiscovery and investigations, including forensic analysis and development of a large-scale parallel processing system.
