Michal Murtin

Michal Murtin is a seasoned finance professional supporting companies and key stakeholders through complex turnarounds and transformations. With more than 20 years of experience, Michal brings a strong track record of delivering results in both advisory and interim finance roles, particularly in challenging and distressed situations.

Michal has executed numerous independent business reviews (“IBRs”) for lenders and lender groups, combining robust financial and cash management expertise with a pragmatic, hands-on approach.

Since joining FTI Consulting in January 2021, Michal has supported a variety of clients through high-stakes restructuring and transformation scenarios. Preceding this role, he held several senior interim finance roles in business control and treasury functions within international companies, providing critical support to companies navigating turnaround environments.

From 2007 to 2018, Michal was with KPMG Netherlands, where he served as a Director in the Restructuring practice. There, he managed complex and high-profile IBRs for banking syndicates and executive boards of listed companies across a wide range of industries. He began his career on EY’s Corporate Finance team.
