About Mike
Mike Hilgendorf has more than 10 years of experience delivering results for clients across the energy industry, including wind, solar, nuclear and recycling. Mr. Hilgendorf specializes in interim management, transaction advisory and financial planning and analysis (“FP&A”) roles.
Mr. Hilgendorf routinely leads engagements advising clients on either buy-side or sell-side transactions, performing financial and commercial diligence for acquisitions, facilitating sales processes or leading financial modeling workstreams. Additionally, he has served in multiple interim management roles, working closely alongside company stakeholders to deliver effective results.
Mr. Hilgendorf holds a B.A. in International Politics and Economics from Middlebury College and an M.B.A. from the University of Colorado.
Relevant Experience:
- Served as Interim VP of Corporate Development for a $2 billion recycling company, focused on asset divestment and value maximization; drove the successful divestment of more than 10 assets across five transactions
- Advised the U.S. Department of Energy (“DOE”) on multiple $1 billion-plus loan originations, leading the financial modeling workstream and advising on loan structuring
- Helped lead the redevelopment of the Punta Lima Wind Farm in Puerto Rico on behalf of a global bank
- Served as Director of FP&A for a $2 billion recycling company, focusing on build-out of the FP&A function
