Remington Wu advises companies on technical accounting, finance matters and the application of the Federal Securities Laws and Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”) rules and regulations. He focuses on complex transactions such as mergers and acquisitions, carve-outs and spin-offs, debt and equity financings, initial public offerings and SPAC mergers. He has more than 10 years of experience spanning the advisory, public accounting and industry spaces.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Remington served as the Senior Director of SEC Reporting at a PE-backed pre-IPO homebuilder, where he led the company's SEC registration statement process, as well as its financial reporting and technical accounting functions.
Remington was previously a Senior Manager in Ernst and Young’s (“EY”) Financial Accounting Advisory Services practice, advising clients on a range of technical accounting issues, SEC matters and complex transactions. Additionally, he served in EY’s Professional Practice Group, focused on SEC regulatory matters, where he developed firmwide technical and business development-facing thought leadership, advised engagement teams and helped develop firm policies and outreach with respect to the SEC and other regulatory organizations.
Remington has served on the faculty of the Practising Law Institute’s Annual SEC Reporting and FASB Forum, discussing current developments in the SEC’s Division of Corporation Finance.
