Roman Bolay brings more than 10 years of experience in corporate finance and restructuring, with a strong focus on assessing business plans and the sustainability of business models.

Roman joined FTI Consulting in 2018. He specializes in preparing restructuring opinions and independent business reviews (“IBRs”) and in supporting stakeholders in stabilizing and realigning business and operating models under challenging market conditions.

Roman’s experience covers multiple industries, including automotive and industrial, real estate, consumer goods and technology, highlighting his ability to rapidly understand and assess complex business models across multiple industries. His strength lies in supporting clients in evaluating and comparing strategic options, enabling well-informed and objective decision-making.

• Restructuring opinion for an international candle manufacturer, including short-term cash management
• Business plan review and restructuring opinion for a payment services provider with a focus on topline planning and financial restructuring
• Business plan review and short-term cash management for an Amazon aggregator in the pre-IPO period
• Multiple IBRs and restructuring opinions for capital market–oriented real estate groups (with more than €10 billion in assets under management), focusing on deleveraging through realignment of the portfolio strategy in combination with asset disposals
• Funding requirement derivation and validation for a greenfield mining ramp-up project in Africa
