Sandeep Kumar

Sandeep Kumar is a Senior Managing Director at FTI Consulting. Based in Dubai, Mr. Kumar focuses on United Arab Emirates (“UAE”) corporate tax and international tax and leads the growth of the firm’s UAE corporate tax practice. His experience spans the Middle East, India, the UK, Europe and the United States across energy and natural resources, telecommunications, engineering, procurement and construction, hospitality, manufacturing, consumer and retail and logistics.

Mr. Kumar advises regional groups and multinationals on the practical application of tax rules to their businesses. His work includes cross-border structuring, the tax aspects of transactions, UAE corporate tax implementation and compliance, and discussions with tax authorities and finance ministries.

A Chartered Accountant, Mr. Kumar has 17 years of experience in corporate and international tax, including more than 10 years in the Gulf Cooperation Council, much of it with Big Four firms in the region. Prior to joining FTI Consulting, he was a Tax Partner at a boutique tax firm in the UAE, where he built and led a team of around 12 professionals and grew the practice in both revenue and profitability.

Throughout his career, Mr. Kumar has been closely involved in learning and development and technical thought leadership. He has written on UAE corporate tax as new rules and guidance were issued, run client webinars and spoken at industry conferences.
