Shannon Walker

Shannon Walker has over 20 years’ experience in political and activist campaigning, media relations and crisis and issues management. He advises clients in many different sectors on effective strategies to enhance reputation, improve stakeholder relationships and change government policy and regulations.

Before joining FTI Consulting, Shannon led the industry association for brands, wholesalers and retailers in the sporting goods and active lifestyle sector in Australia, where he campaigned on issues of importance to the sector and grew both membership and revenue.

Shannon has held media advisor roles for senior Federal Labor politicians including the Minister for Finance, the Minister for Workplace Relations and the Assistant Treasurer and Minister for Superannuation and Financial Services in the Australian Government.

Shannon has a long history of working with membership and activist organisations, including unions and community groups, to campaign and change public policy.

Shannon managed the crisis and issues management activities for a large energy retailer during a major power outage crisis in 2009.

With contacts and experience in retail, financial services, superannuation, government, and the community, preventative health and union movements, Shannon brings a broad range of expertise to FTI Consulting clients.
