Sophie Wingfield

Sophie Wingfield advises organisations on navigating complex political and regulatory environments, with 20 years of experience in public affairs, policy and strategic communications. Sophie assists clients in building political support, managing risk and enhancing corporate reputation.

Since joining FTI Consulting, Sophie has advised on integrated public affairs, communications and campaigns across life sciences, transport, retail and technology, supporting clients on policy outcomes and corporate reputation.

Sophie began her career in Westminster, holding roles with a government whip and the parliamentary Labour Party before serving as a senior adviser to Harriet Harman MP during her tenure as deputy leader and interim leader of the opposition. In this role, she advised on political and stakeholder strategy, as well as policy development for the Labour Party’s 2015 general election manifesto. She worked on general election campaigns in 2010 and 2015 and advised as part of the business engagement team during the 2024 general election.

Following her time in Westminster, Sophie held senior in-house and trade association roles, including in external communications at Siemens Mobility and senior positions within trade associations across the film, music and recruitment sectors.
