James Church-Morley

James Church-Morley is a Senior Managing Director in FTI Consulting’s Economic & Financial Consulting practice. He has been based in Dubai for the past six years, after spending time in FTI Consulting’s London and Singapore offices.

James has more than 14 years of professional experience as an accountant. He specialises in the assessment of damages in litigation and international arbitration, in performing valuations of both businesses and shares in commercial and contentious contexts, and in forensic accounting matters. James has been instructed and provided evidence in LCIA, DIAC, DIFC Court and Abu Dhabi International Arbitration Centre proceedings.

James is listed as a ‘Global Elite Thought Leader – Under 45’ in Lexology’s 2025 surveys of arbitration expert witnesses. He is also recognised as as a ‘Recommended’ Consulting Expert in the field of ‘Financial Advisory and Valuation – Quantum of Damages’.

James was a member of the drafting committee of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators’ ‘Guidelines for Witness Conferencing in International Arbitration.’ He is also an ADR Center Accredited Mediator.

James is a Chartered Accountant and member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland. He holds a B.A. with Honours in Japanese and History from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London. He spent a year studying at Hitotsubashi University in Tokyo and was awarded the Heiwa Nakajima scholarship.
