John Whitcomb provides strategic counsel to clients on a wide array of issues impacting their enterprise value, reputation, and freedom to operate. This includes policy and regulation, government investigations, mergers and acquisitions, international arbitrations, and litigation.
Mr. Whitcomb is particularly focused on identifying and analyzing policy and regulatory trends, developing and executing integrated advocacy solutions, and advising on regulatory approvals for cross-border transactions (antitrust/competition and CFIUS), and has worked with a wide range of clients in aerospace and defense, chemicals, materials, and agriculture.
Mr. Whitcomb co-leads FTI Consulting’s trade and national security working group, where he advises clients on how to best navigate a complex and evolving political and regulatory environment involving Buy American laws, trade compliance, Sec. 232/301 tariffs, export control laws, and other labor-related issues. Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Whitcomb was part of a highly regarded bipartisan government relations and lobbying firm, where he served as a legislative analyst.
Mr. Whitcomb completed his undergraduate studies at Cedarville University with a degree in Political Science.
