Stephen Podesta is a Chartered Builder with more than 35 years of experience in the construction industry. Stephen has been instrumental in the planning and construction of major projects across the globe, including North America, Ireland, Asia, Continental Europe and the UK.
Stephen has an extensive understanding of planning and scheduling methods, contract law, risk management and project management. He specialises in forensic delay analysis and programming matters relating to finding the root causes of delay, disruption and extensions of time in order to assist clients resolve disputes.
Stephen commenced his professional career as a site engineer. He then progressed through site management before developing in the field of project controls and project planning prior to becoming a delay expert.
Stephen’s background encompasses a wide range of clients, contractors and sectors, including healthcare, residential, commercial, retail, process, biotech, pharmaceutical, energy, airports, rail, commercial buildings, hospitals, gas pipelines, water/waste treatment, food/beverage and recreation/sport.
Stephen’s experience includes working with a variety of contract forms such as FIDIC, ICE, JCT and the NEC. He also has expert knowledge in the application of most of the industry standard planning tools including Primavera P6, Asta Powerproject and Synchro Pro (3D / 4D planning).
