Sally Peng Explores Business Uncertainty Surrounding U.S. Tariffs
Washington, D.C., Aug. 8, 2025 — Senior Managing Director Sally Peng explores business uncertainty surrounding U.S. tariffs in an interview with The New York Times. Commenting on U.S. rules for goods that are “transshipped,” meaning shipped from one country through another for the purposes of lowering tariffs, Ms. Peng said manufacturers are unclear on what they will have to pay for materials they buy in China. “I have people tell me that ‘until the rule is clear, I’m going to stay in China,’” Ms. Peng said.
