Daniel O’Brien is a Managing Director in the Turnaround & Restructuring practice with expertise in providing restructuring services to corporate debtors, lenders, federal and municipal governments, secured and unsecured creditors, equity holders and court appointed officers in the U.S and internationally in in-court and out-of-court situations. Mr. O’Brien has more than 30 years of experience in providing business recovery and insolvency services, dispute consulting, litigation support and strategic appraisal and policy advice services. He has industry expertise in retail and consumer products, healthcare, energy and telecommunications among other areas.
Mr. O’Brien’s responsibilities have included providing interim management and financial advisory services in Chapter 11 and out-of-court proceedings, preparing financial projections, cash flow forecasts, debtor-in-possession financing budgeting and monitoring, liquidation analyses, waterfall analyses, business plan and turnaround plan preparation and reviews, working capital management reviews, plan of reorganization and disclosure statement development and bankruptcy administration.

Mr. O’Brien holds a B.Comm with honors from University College Cork. He is a Chartered Certified Accountant and a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants in the U.K, as well as a Certified Fraud Examiner in the U.S. He is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Association of Insolvency & Restructuring Advisors and the Turnaround Management Association.
