Ivana Jemelkova is a Managing Director in the Strategic Communications Segment of FTI Consulting and is currently based in Washington, DC. A Public Affairs specialist, she advises high-profile clients on complex, multi-jurisdiction policy and communications issues related to innovation, new technologies and transformation of traditional industry sectors.

Most recently, Ivana helped build a global coalition of CEOs which launched at the 2017 World Economic Forum in Davos - one of the most notable EMEA events recognized at the 2017 SABRE Awards. She is currently coordinating the Council’s international team based in Europe, USA and Asia and working with the group to engage key policy stakeholders, investors and civil society representatives across priority markets. The group’s most recent activities include CEO-level events during the New York Climate Week, the COP23 Climate Conference in Bonn, Germany and a 400+ public-private stakeholder forum held in Beijing, China.

Prior to transferring to the U.S. in 2017, Ivana spent 6+ years in the Brussels office of FTI Consulting, coordinating the European head office of an industry group with 100+ members from 20+ countries and working with high-profile corporate and association clients on EU policy strategies and campaigns. Named among “Rising Stars” at the 2014 European Public Affairs Awards, she also helped her clients renew and strengthen a European R&D public-private partnership for innovative technologies and advised the industry representatives on the program’s governing board.

A Czech national, Ivana holds degrees in European Studies and International Relations from the Charles University in Prague. Her previous professional experience includes the European Commission (DG Communication), the Czech Business Representation to the European Union (CEBRE) and a leading foreign policy think-tank based in Prague, Czech Republic.
