About Jerome
Jerome Davis specializes in advising companies and creditors in turnaround- and restructuring-related matters involving cash management and analysis, debt-restructuring, plans of reorganization, liquidation analyses, financial forecasting, creditor negotiations and other bankruptcy-related issues. Mr. Davis has nearly 15 years of experience which includes industry experience in technology, media, renewable energy, retail and consumer products, real estate, hospitality, oil and gas, engineering and construction, food and beverage and financial services.
Mr. Davis has also provided extensive services to businesses and law firms involving interim management, mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, financial restructuring, business and trademark valuation, solvency opinions and fairness opinions.
Mr. Davis’ Chapter 11 experience includes serving as the financial advisor to Elk Petroleum, Inc. prior to and during its Chapter 11 proceedings; providing interim management advisory services to Martifer Solar USA, Inc. during its Chapter 11 proceedings; serving as the financial advisor to Fuhu, Inc. a leading children’s software and tablet company, prior to and during its Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceeding, which resulted in a 363 sale to Mattel, Inc.; and serving as the financial advisor to ECOtality, Inc. prior to and during its Chapter 11 proceedings.
In regards to interim management, Mr. Davis functioned in an interim management capacity for a for-profit education company, which ultimately resulted in the sale of the company to a strategic buyer; provided interim management services to Zacky Farms, LLC, which ultimately resulted in the sale of the company to a strategic buyer; and provided interim management services to Fairfield Residential LLC., one of the nation’s largest apartment owners and developers, with over $950 million in liabilities.
Mr. Davis served as financial advisor to the secured lenders of an alcohol distribution company during the company’s turnaround and sale process and to the senior secured bondholders of a confidential waste disposal services provider during an out of court restructuring and sale process. Additional experience includes being retained as investment banker on the sale of Western Funding, Inc. a subprime auto lender; providing financial advisory services to a leading hotel in San Diego; and providing financial advisory services to Mortgages Ltd., a Phoenix-based real estate lender that serviced a loan portfolio of over $900 million.
Prior to rejoining FTI Consulting, Mr. Davis was a Managing Director in the turnaround and restructuring group of Ankura, where he led engagements representing companies and creditors in both Chapter 11 and in non-bankruptcy processes. Before that, he was a Senior Director in FTI Consulting’s Corporate Finance & Restructuring segment, where he specialized in the design and implementation of financial strategies and optimization of value and worked with distressed companies.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Davis was an investment banker at Houlihan, Lokey Howard and Zukin, where he provided a variety of financial advisory services. Before that, he worked for Examination Management Services Inc., where he designed monthly reporting analytics that allowed the company to maximize efficiency in preparing and analyzing financial reports for board members and senior management.
