Yunsoo Kim

Yunsoo Kim specializes in real estate valuation and has conducted assignments for litigation support, restructuring, financial reporting and acquisition & divestiture. She has over 25 years of experience in real estate valuation and consulting and has served numerous corporate, private equity and hedge fund clients in a wide variety of assignments, including portfolio valuation, positive assurance, fairness opinions.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Ms. Kim was a Director at Duff & Phelps mainly working on valuation, positive assurance, and fairness opinions on real estate assets owned by numerous private equity and multinational clients. Before that, she was a Director of Corporate Finance for CNL Income Corp, a private REIT company in Orlando. At CNL, she led the development of corporate financial model, reviewed quarterly financial performance and reviewed real estate asset underwriting. Prior to CNL, she was the Regional Pricing Analyst for Asia with GE Real Estate, based in Seoul, Korea, where she led the underwriting and investment approval process for real estate assets totaling over $1 billion. At GE, she focused on pricing/underwriting various non-performing loan portfolios as well as performing real property assets.

Prior to GE, Yunsoo was a Manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers’ (“PwC”) Financial Advisory Services. At PwC, she gained significant experience in valuation and underwriting by preparing appraisals and investment summary for single assets, loans and portfolios. She has reviewed performing and non-performing debt investments in excess of $1 billion, located throughout the U.S. and Asia.

• Positive assurance supporting value conclusions and assessing reasonableness of assumptions utilized – best practice for institutional real estate investors, often required by investors and auditors.
• Extensive experience in Asia (South Korea, China, Japan).
